Ooopsie

So my whole idea of doing a post for each day in London kinda fell by the wayside. Sorry. But the two major highlights would be seeing Priscilla Queen of the Dessert http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwQXk8R9uzI (watch that) and meeting Jack Straw http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Straw (read that).

Obviously two very different things. Priscilla is the play version of the movie where 3 drag queens drive a bus into the middle of Australia. So all the people in that video are male. Yep, even that one.

And then Jack Straw came to Alabama when he was Foreign Secretary and I had the opportunity to meet him. Both were distinctively British and very funny.

and it is great. It took me forever to get Internet. I had at least 4 IT people working on my laptop for 3 hours trying to hook it up to the network. Well finally I have it. I have an advisor meeting today and a chance to join societies so things are getting started!
