Canterbury Tales

HA clever blog entry title huh? (If you look in the picture you can see the Cathedral in the background)
So I start class tomorrow! Yes I know it is very late! I am taking Stuart and Hanoverian Britain: 1688-1750 and Anglo Saxon Britain. Both are history classes. My British advisor has the same name as my American advisor. And they are both American Studies teachers. TWILIGHT ZONE a bit.
okay maybe not that dramatic
But, what also comes with beginning classes is joining Societies and Sports Clubs. Well, we all know the latter is out of the question so Societies it is. I put my name down under the History Society, Dance Society, Debate Society, Musical Theatre Society, and the American Society. Tonight was the American Society's first meeting. It was a bunch of Brits and their main goal was to plan the term's events. What is in store: beer pong, a "frat party", Thanksgiving, and a Wild West Night. Oh god. Southern Food night was mentioned as well. To make matters worse I think they found the nerdiest people on campus and asked them to join. Is that what type of person is attracted to America? Leather trench coat beer pong obsessed social dweebs? Apparently.
Tomorrow is the first meeting of the Pub and Real Ale Society. I am hoping and thinking this is more my crowd.
